One of the biggest shocks ever..........

So, I'm leaving Home Depot one day and a text message comes through (from Facebook, no less) on my phone.  It read, "hello jill its kelli i was just letting you know that you will be a grandmother! I don't know if daniel has got in touch with you or not so i figured i would let you know! im 8 weeks."

Since it was about 98 degrees with ridiculously high humidity I thought I misread it.  So, I read it again..........and again, and again.  They I called my husband, Andy, and read it to him.  We were speechless.  I can't say that I was immediately thrilled.  You see, our oldest son, Daniel, was incarcerated at the time.  NOT TO MENTION, this meant that I was gonna be a mumzie at FORTY-TWO!  :)

The past few months have been a roller coaster.  The job market is slim pickins and neither has been able to find work. But I know that ultimately, this will all work out because I know God has this under control and I truly believe that Daniel and Kelli really do love each other.

I CANNOT wait to snuggle my first grandson, Drake Charlton, when he gets here. And I CANNOT wait to be a mumzie....even if I am 42!

Here are some pics:

And here is my sweet grandson.  Hoping March seventh gets here SOON!

I'm all shook up.........

And, no, I'm not Elvis.

Out of the blue, one of my kids asked what Georgia looked like when we found her dead.  How does one put, "Well, she was limp, lifeless, and blue" into lingo that teenagers will understand yet not be freaked out by?  Only my youngest three were home that horrific night in March 2006.  Most of my oldest kids were with my mom.

I don't know.  Why do kids have to die?  Why can't we just all live forever and be happy?

Gonna be a looooooooooooooooooooooong, sleepless night.  Too many emotions to sleep.

Georgia, I miss you.  We did all we could to save you that night, but it just wasn't meant to be.  You, Papaw, and Joshua have fun in Heaven.  I'll see you someday.

Just curious.......

How many rolls of toilet paper do NORMAL sized families use in a day?  I think we are on roll number 3 just in the downstairs bathroom.  (I should mention that Asher uses a whole roll per poop.)

My life rocks....but I'm broke from buying toilet paper.  Can I get a government subsidy for Angel Soft?

Poop...again?

Oh mercy...will I EVER get my almost 10 year old mentally challenged child COMPLETELY potty trained?  I sure hope so.  Good thing he's as cute as he is.
